ShieldCrest can publish books of any size but there are certain standard sizes used in the writing profession which are shown here.

Hardbacks will be perfect bound
and case wrapped.

An additional charge is made for hardbacks.

Please note that the size and type of binding makes a difference to the final look and cost of your book. The number of pages in your book will determine which binding is most suitable. So we can help you achieve the lowest possible cost. Complete the submission form and send your manuscript.

Main Paperback Book Sizes:

1. B-Format  198 x 129mm – UK novels
2. 148 x 210mm (5.83″ x 8.26″) – A5  – UK & Europe for ref, tech, novels
3. 210 x 297mm (8.26″ x 11.69″) – A4 -Tech, Ref
4. 127 x 203mm (5” x 8″) – USA based novel size, also used in UK
5. 152 x 229mm (6″ x 9″) – USA based novel size,also used in UK
6. UK Royal 156 x 234mm – (6.1″ x 9.2″) UK novel
7. 108 x 175mm (4.25″ x  6.87″) – USA Pocket Book size
8. 203 x 203mm (8″ x 8″) – Square – used for children’s books
9. 210 x 210mm (8.3″ x 8.3″) – Square – used for children’s books
10. 216 x 279mm (8.5” x 11”) – USA Letter size

The above are the most popular sizes used in the UK but we can do any book size so just let us know the size required.
