Description
There are moments of joy in running a Jersey hotel, but also moments of despair and sadness.
There are celebrations and tragedies. Kindness and potential violence, both verbal and physical are equally prevalent and sometimes people’s behaviour is unpredictable.
Generally speaking situations arose when alcohol is involved.
There are also moments of extreme kindness, understanding, sympathy and humour and friendships that will last a lifetime.
It is not the easiest of professions in the world, but one that is satisfying and rewarding when people leave the hotel happier than when they arrived and then go on to return every year.
