A new video has been released of J. R. Stephenson, author of “Martin Foran – The Forgotten Man”, explaining why he felt compelled to write the story of Foran’s double miscarriage of justice. Foran was framed by the West Midland Police on 7 charges resulting in two terms of imprisonment totalling almost 20 years for crimes he did not commit.
While in prison Foran was brutally treated resulting in a terminal condition and he has not long to live. Stephenson describes the treatment Foran has received over a total of 40 years as disgraceful and a blight on the British justice system. It took him that long to prove his innocence before being acquitted of all charges but he has received no apology and compensation has been rejected.
